I firmly believe that no analysis of digital transformations is complete without a robust understanding of their social and technological dimensions. This is why I completed an undergraduate degree in both sociology and in computer science.
As finalist of the German Science Slam Championship 2024, I love working in science communication, connecting social and technical ideas. Having co-founded the multidisciplinary seminar "If Then - But Why?", I am currently doing my Master's in Digital Sociology in Edinburgh where I am also president of the university's science communication society (Talk Science).
The representation of social sciences in SciComm is very important to me. This is why I am holding a talk on how to make the format of Science Slam more open to non-STEM scientists. Please come by and be amazed by how much time I wasted on fine-tuning all my PowerPoint animations (and also by the content). The talk is German.
(I also speak native German and remarkably bad Korean)
